Read, Participate and VOTE!

The upcoming midterm elections might be the most important of our lifetime. As patriots committed to individual liberty and self-reliance we are passionate about preserving our 2nd amendment right to keep and bear arms, return to America’s founding principles and to maintain a government that abides by the Constitution.

Short of violent revolution, changing the Washington D.C. balance of power away from those who oppose these values to those who share these values is the best way to achieve our goals. How do we as individuals make this happen?

Arm yourself with knowledge of American history, founding principles, each candidate’s positions and beliefs, incumbents voting records. Understand the statist liberal positions and be prepared to calmly and effectively state why it’s wrong. Why it is not in America’s best interest or effective in solving the challenges we face. Seek to understand then be understood.

Support the candidate of your choice. When able – donate to a campaign. Volunteer to participate in their election efforts. Take part in local town hall meetings.  Communicate your positions to your elected officials. Share your views, reasoning and knowledge during any appropriate opportunity. Seek those opportunities.

Vote! One vote matters! It is easy to feel lost or not relevant when we think about the millions of votes sometimes cast in an election. We must always remember that many elections are won or lost by less the 2% of the total or less than a few thousand votes. Our vote can and does make a difference.

America is still the world’s best hope for freedom, prosperity and peace. Get up, get out, vote and make a difference!

“You and I have a rendezvous with destiny. We will preserve for our children this, the last best hope of man on earth, or we will sentence them to take the first step into a thousand years of darkness. If we fail, at least let our children and our children’s children say of us we justified our brief moment here. We did all that could be done.” – Ronald Reagan
